Jeran's drum set. He set it up all by himself and had a blast making music with it.
Spencer celebrated his fourth birthday. He got a glockenspiel from Granna and Grandpa, which he and Jeran love to pound on. It has since been designated a downstairs toy, along with the drums that both he and Jeran got for their birthdays. We have quite the band downstairs, between the toy guitar, drums, recorders, maracas, and other musical instruments the kids have.
We went to Lagoon with my parents and siblings. It was a first for our kids, and they absolutely loved it. Spencer and Kaylin loved going on the more thrilling rides with Ryan; I stuck with the ferris wheel, the carousel, and other fairly calm rides.
It was a very hot day for Lagoon, right up until it rained, after which it was quite nice. Jeran got very sweaty in the meantime.
Jeran's second birthday. Thank goodness for big brother!
Be afraid, be very afraid.
Ryan and Spencer went on their very first Father/Son campout. They went with some friends. Jeran didn't get to go this time since Ryan couldn't guarantee that Jeran wouldn't fall into the fire. Maybe he'll get to go next year.
We were so busy packing up for our trip to Utah for the blessing of Steve's son, Thomas, that we forgot to light our Fourth of July sparklers until right before the kids went to bed, so we let them do sparklers and snaps in their jammies. Jeran liked the sparklers until...
Spencer whacked Jeran in the face with his dying sparkler. Thankfully all Jeran had to show for it was some ash on his forehead, but in all the other pictures he's glaring at the sparklers.

Our annual trip to the zoo for Melaleuca Day. Ryan always asks why we have to go since we saw the animals last year, but it's worth it to see how excited the kids get. This year we had Abby, Rion, and Mei with staying with us. It was especially nice having 3 extra helpers while we walked through the zoo since Jeran likes to run off. I think the kids' favorite part of the zoo is the little play area and the lion water fountain. Go figure.
