Playin' in the snow...

The kids and I decided to make a snowman after Ryan came home from work and could watch Jeran. Here we are rolling snow balls. Most of the snow was too powdery but the kids had fun rolling the balls in the snow anyway.

Here is our finished snow reindeer (Ryan thinks it looks more like a bug). Spencer didn't want to stop putting sticks in our snow man, so after we managed to get the arms in, Spencer stuck a couple on the snow man's head. The hardest part was getting the little rocks we used for it's eyes, mouth, nose, ears, and buttons to stay on, as our snow man was more ice than snow.

For some reason, unknown to us, our first cat, the kids now call him the Big Pabo, will occasionally deign to visit us. As he has been adopted by an older couple who not only feed him but let him stay in their garage (unlike us), we're not really sure why he comes back. After several weeks of ignoring us, he decided to visit and showed up in the backyard yesterday afternoon. Although we have since replaced the Big Pabo with the Little Pabo and Smudge, the kids are always excited to see the Big Pabo and love to play with him, even though he's now too heavy to carry around.

Our little Jedi in their Star Wars pajamas. Spencer-wan-kenobi was the victor in their epic battle, shortly after the picture was taken, he succeeded in whacking Kayl-akin Skywalker in the face and making her cry.
